John Faust, Instructor
John Faust is a multifaceted actor, director, and writer with a deep passion for storytelling. From 2008 to 2020, he served as the Artistic Director of Austin’s Weird City Theatre Company and is the founding Artistic Director of Beguiled Theatre Company in Houston, Texas. He has performed in and directed numerous stage and film productions and is also an accomplished voiceover artist. Since 2012, John has embodied horror movie host Danvers of Demented Features - a "creature feature" show on Youtube and syndicated around the US.
John is the published author of several award-winning plays, including Night of the Living Dead, Nosferatu, and his most recent, My Father’s Funeral. His work also appears in Dark Horse Comics’ He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Character Guide and World Compendium.
He holds an MFA from Emerson University and studied improv at the world-renowned Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles. John is thrilled to be teaching for the first time at Northern Lights Santa Academy while also attending as a student. He looks forward to sharing his love of character development, improvisation, and the magic of performance.
