Santa Perry Eidson, Instructor

Santa Perry Eidson has portrayed Santa Claus for 8 years. Possessing naturally white hair and beard, he began his portrayal on a lark to help out a fellow small businessman. He enjoyed it so much that first year, he contacted a friend who portrayed Santa and began attending classes and group meetings.

During his time portraying Santa, Perry has done a little bit of everything. He has worked a mall chair on a relief basis, done home visits, charity events, corporate events, HOAs, restaurants, and is the official Santa Claus for 4 Georgia cities. Santa Perry also works with several photographers and was chosen to appear in the Ron Cooper portrait collection book "We Are Santa". He has appeared on the local NBC affiliate multiple times, performed as a credited actor in a Lifetime movie (A Welcome Home Christmas), and officiated a wedding during the Christmas season.

Santa Perry retired in 2021 after 42-1/2 years at a large university/healthcare institution in Atlanta where he was a geek with responsibilities for very large communications systems including operations, personnel, budget, and project management. He is also the owner of a successful small ice business for over 13 years. Had the ice business come after the start of the Santa portrayal, it would have been named "Santa's Ice" as many people have recognized him as Santa while working the ice business.
