Santa Ed Vinson, Special Guest Instructor
Santa Ed Vinson was born in 1948 and is a native Atlantan. He has been married to his wife, Gail, since 1968.
From 1968 to 1971 he served in the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Analyst, including a year in South Viet Nam. He attended Georgia Tech, Armstrong State University, and Georgia State University. He has a BA in Political Science, a Masters in Governmental Administration, and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive.
While working eleven years as a manager for the Medicare Program he conducted dozens of training seminars for physician offices throughout the state. After leaving the public sector and moving to Emory Clinic, he was recognized by the Medical Group Management Association as a Medicare Expect and conducted seminars across the United States.
Since 1998 he has owned and operated a number of very successful small businesses, including Santa Ed Vinson, LLC, which opened for business in 2011. As a Santa, Ed has done a host of different events including: charity photo shoots for the Georgia Bull Dog Rescue group, photo shoots and meals with Santa, Jackson Healthcare's foster children program and their party for local special needs children, corporate and private parties, HOA events, meals with Santa at restaurants, appearances at Toys For Tots fund raisers, school events, and even a hip hop video for a national charitable fund raising campaign. Santa Ed was recruited in 2013 to be the Chancellor and lead instructor for the Santa Claus Academy, Georgia's oldest school for Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Based out of the metro-Atlanta, Georgia area, the Northern Lights Santa Academy serves Santa Clauses, Mrs. Clauses and Santa's Helpers in the Southeastern United States, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
